ABOUT ME

A sketch on an envelope

It's amazing how a little life on the inside can set so many processes in motion in the body. My first pregnancy. It was as if my own little child inside came to life and started a wave of creativity. I started painting with acrylics and tried different materials and textures. But mainly I started sketching. Small imaginative figures. I found myself sketching now and then on all the possible paper materials that were in front of me. Envelopes, receipts, baking paper. I saved all these sketches for many years and through several moves, when the feeling told me that they would actually become something more than just sketches. Inspired by my daughter, I now have my collection of illustrations, "The Heart Of Esperanza" . A living collection that is constantly changing.

After my second pregnancy, I slipped into a new wave of powerful inspiration. This time I distinctly remember waking up in the middle of the night with an idea I couldn't wait to try. Early the next morning I was up and experimenting. It didn't go exactly as I imagined, but determined to achieve the result I saw, I tried my hand at a sustainable technique. A technique I call "Objects In A String". With that technique I complete many of my abstract acrylic paintings on canvas.

But right now I have chosen to go a completely different way in my painting , where both expression and technique are new. It is in re images that come to me, mainly through meditation, that want to come out on canvas or paper. I mix texture, acrylic and charcoal and usually create directly with my fingers or with painter's knives. I simply enjoy feeling both color and substrate.

And then there was that thing about creating digitally, which makes up a larger part of my everyday life. For me, graphic design has become a part of who I am. It is a passion where I can express myself by combining color, shape, image, font, logo and more in a graphic creation. In other words, my work makes me happy to the core.

Essentials

When I create, it is important that what is on the inside can come out in the form of an emotion, illustration or other creation. When I paint, my mood is very important. To be in the feeling or the image that I have inside. And then I follow the flow of the colors.

That what I do makes me feel alive and free. That I freely test new techniques and play around. This also applies in graphic design, where I often find myself just testing and playing around, as it is incredibly important that what I do is fun.

And here we are now, a lot of years later. That feeling of creating something more and bigger became a website with an online store, an art gallery and service as a Graphic Designer .

I wish you a warm welcome here.
